OBVIOUS - это французский коллектив художников и исследователей в области машинного обучения, работающих над изучением творческих возможностей искусственного интеллекта. В 2018 году Obvious продали первое произведение искусства, созданное с помощью ИИ, на крупном аукционе Christie’s почти в 45 раз дороже своей верхней оценочной стоимости, за 432 500 долларов. Станислав Бартникас и Obvious создали новую серию работ, которые передают суть ИИ, дух Земли и привлекают внимание к экологическим проблемам и глобальному потеплению.
Как это работает?
Изображение ландшафта Земли - одна из самых разнообразных и сложных задач. Как и человеческие лица, Земля тоже полна сходств и различий, куда ни посмотришь. В этой серии мы попытались запечатлеть сущность наполненного энергией ландшафта Земли, увиденного только сверху. Живописная Исландия стала нашим выбором из-за её природной красоты, а Станислав Бартникас снял с высоты тысячи кадров Исландии. Это идеально подошло для следующей задачи нашего ИИ: запечатлеть красоту Земли, сохранив при этом энергию и эмоции её ландшафта.

В 2020 году, задолго до массовых генераторов изображений, Станиславу было интересно проверить, как искусственный интеллект увидит Землю. Партнёром стал Obvious, французский коллектив художников и исследователей машинного обучения. В 2018 году их «Портрет Эдмона де Белами» стал первой работой, созданной ИИ, которую продал крупный аукционный дом: Christie's, 432 500 долларов.
Станислав отобрал около 3000 своих кадров Исландии, снятых с высоты. Obvious обучили на них генеративно-состязательные нейросети (GAN), и из созданного алгоритмом авторы вместе выбрали одиннадцать работ. Задача была не исказить исходные кадры, а сохранить их атмосферу и энергию.

…To me this isn't only a photo, it's a work of art. Its painterly quality, plus the graphic nature of the landscape, takes this beyond an ordinary aerial photoshoot. Yes, it's right place at the right time, but it's technically impressive in that it's absolutely sharp and crisp. I hope to see more of your photos!

Stanislav, something incredible has just happened to me (and is still happening). My first look at the photograph: a smile from ear to ear and such joyful jubilation inside: "Oh, I know this! This energy is familiar to me."
And then it hit me: as if an osteopath took me gently and firmly by the shoulders, put a knee against my thoracic spine and began to straighten my back, strongly and gently. My shoulders turned and dropped back, my neck began to lengthen, the crown of my head up, my chest opened, and I still can't slouch the way I usually do.
And yet there is no tension, inside there is absolute calm and jubilation. I don't yet understand what these energies are doing with my body, but I really like it! Thank you from my heart for sharing this miracle!
This is another long-held dream of ours: a photograph of the planet by Stanislav. It is our wedding gift to ourselves. It carries a very powerful meaning.
